Hey there! Our names are Chandra and Scott Fowler. We are budget travels who love food and photography. We travel throughout Latin America every chance we get to volunteer, explore, adventure, take photos, make friends, and try new foods in different cultures. We hope to share our adventures in order to help other travelers and to bring fun stories from new cultures to non-travelers.
We both feel that a global education is extremely important in personal growth and in promoting world peace.
Chandra received the Gilman Scholarship in college which fully funded a semester abroad studying ecology and volunteering in Costa Rica. After this life changing experience she worked in the International Education office at Fort Lewis College. She specializes in helping high school, college, and post grad students find a way to fund their study abroad experiences. Feel free to message her here if you have questions about this type of travel!
Scott is a wilderness therapy guide who uses his knowledge of nature and survival skills to help young adults reconnect with the earth in order to grow and heal. His work has taken him from the red rocks of Utah and the pinion forests of Colorado to the jungles, rivers and oceans of Costa Rica.
